The Teaching Channel
is best known for its short videos featuring teachers in real classrooms demonstrating valuable teaching skills.  From the main page on the front, you can click their Common Core link and know that you’ll find videos that not only explain the type of skills the Common Core standards are looking for, but also show methods that teachers can use to develop those skills.

The Teaching Channel is more than just 5 – 10 minute videos.  It also produces its own professional-development themed TV show, about an hour in length and aired on local PBS stations around the country.  Episodes are a great way to dig a little deeper into a topic or a skill.  You can find several episodes centered on the Core featured here.

For teachers looking for even more help with the Common Core, NBC focused heavily on the Common Core during its recent Education Nation Summit.  Along with the programming that they typically feature during the summit, they also conducted a Common Core Institute for the teachers who attended.  The video for these institutes hasn’t been uploaded yet, but when it is, you’ll be able to find it on the Teaching Channel website along with their own CCSS videos.
