PBS TeacherLine: PBS TeacherLine’s facilitated and self-paced PD courses are designed to benefit both beginning and experienced teachers. Topics include science, reading, social studies, math, instructional strategies, and instructional technology. You can see their summer course listings here.

Code.Org: Code.org offers free, self-paced online courses for teachers who wish to implement computer science curriculum in their classrooms. Their current offering, Teaching Computer Science Fundamentals, is intended as an introduction to computer science and the Code.org K-5 resources.

YouCubed: YouCubed is an arm of Stanford’s Graduate School of Education aiming to increase student’s mathematical learning.  Along with their in person professional development, they also offer online courses for teachers.

The Great Courses: While not aimed at teachers, this website offers a plethora of college courses on a wide variety of subjects, making them a great way for a teacher to increase content-area knowledge. They have a summer sale, too, making this a great time to explore their offerings. You can learn more at their website.

TeachingAmericanHistory.org: TeachingAmericanHistory.org is a must-visit for any teacher of American History or American Literature. Along with their resources on primary sources and literature, they offer teachers an opportunity to earn graduate credit through Ashland University, or even a master’s degree. They also host regular seminars at various locations throughout the summer, and during the school year they will have regular webinars.
