The funds will be used to purchase lightning balsa wood airplanes with cambered wings to use with the Academy of Model Aeronautics Aerolabs for a class project.

“PACE is excited every year to award scholarships and grants to such worthy recipients,” stated membership director Charity Smith. “We are so grateful for Colorado’s dedicated educators, and students will benefit the most as these teachers receive new resources for the classroom.”

PACE provides thousands of dollars for scholarships and classroom grants to Colorado teachers each year.  Classroom grants help pay for class projects and supplies, and scholarships are used to cover a wide variety of expenses including tuition, books, conferences, and workshops for teachers.  The next application deadline is October 1, 2015.
